  • We would like to welcome you to the Village of Surfside Beach, Texas. We are happy to have to you here and invite you to patronize one of our beach rental homes, our hotels or bring your RV to one of our parks. Please enjoy one our restaurants, bars or shops here in the Village.  

    We offer many outdoor activities for you and your family to enjoy. Fishermen can drop their line from the shore, the Jetty or their boat, using our free boat ramp.  

    Birdwatchers will enjoy almost 400 species of birds at our Bird & Butterfly Trail. Kids will enjoy getting wet at our Splash Pad.  

    There are places to learn to surf, kayak, jet ski and even go horseback riding.  

    Visit our Surfside Museum above City Hall and learn all about Surfside’s rich history of where Texas began.  

    If you have a big occasion to celebrate, check our event center, Stahlman Park.  

    Please enjoy the 4 miles of pristine beach we have to offer in the Village.

A sandy, sun-kissed beach, a cool Gulf breeze, and the quaint charm of vibrant seaside, stilt houses
await in the Village of Surfside Beach.

Home to four miles of pristine shoreline, one-of-a-kind restaurants, and colorful surf shops, this unique
Gulf Coast getaway has something for everyone. Located just an hour from Houston, Surfside Beach
offers an easygoing escape from the hustle and bustle of the big city.

Surfside Beach is much more than a sun-bather’s paradise. The deep waters just off the coastline create
ideal conditions for surfing, kayaking, and wind surfing. For all the time you could spend enjoying the
beach life, there’s more going on.

Fishing is one of the most popular pastimes in Surfside Beach. Cast your line from the shore or the jetty,
or charter a deep-sea fishing trip for the chance to snag a shark or tuna. The village is also a wonderland
for bird watching enthusiasts with more than 400 species of birds, including roseate spoonbills, sandhill
cranes, and an array of herons and egrets has been spotted here. Surfside Beach was recently awarded
Bird City status from Texas Parks and Wildlife and is only one of 8 cities with this honor!

For the younger crowd, there's plenty of freshwater fun to be had at the new 2,000-square-foot Splash
Pad Park. Featuring ten water features and tons of space to play, the splash pad is the ultimate place to
chill out in the summer.

If you love Texas history, make sure you visit Fort Velasco. A recreation of the fort that saw the first
shots of the Texas Revolution, the fort is home to a museum that showcases artifacts, vintage rifles, and
dioramas that tell the story of this important chapter in the Lone Star State's past.

The village’s abundance of outdoor adventures will likely leave you famished. Fortunately, you won’t
have to go far for a great meal. If you’re in the mood for straightforward American fare or delicious
seafood, you’ll find it here. Make sure to enjoy the nightlife as you sip a cold beer or a cocktail and listen
as a talented local band performs.

Once the sun sets and it’s time to rest and relax, you’ll have plenty to choose from. Cozy hotels,
beachside RV parks, and luxurious vacation rental houses that can comfortably house groups large and
